Milton is offering residents a free community workshop on CUVAs – Conservation Use Value Assessments – a land designation that qualifies certain properties to be considered for reduced property tax rates.

The land conservation designation can be used for agricultural land, forests and environmentally sensitive areas, city officials said. The workshop is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Council Chambers of Milton City Hall, 2006 Heritage Walk.

Gaetjens Coreus, appraisal manager for the Fulton County Board of Assessors, will give a presentation on CUVAs followed by a question-and-answer session and open discussion. Information: info@cityofmiltonga.us or https://bit.ly/2BQnX6O
