Construction is complete on the Beaver Ruin Road mid-block pedestrian crossing with the newly installed High-intensity Activated crossWalK (HAWK) signal. The HAWK crossing has been constructed directly in front of First United Methodist Church of Norcross, 540-664 Beaver Ruin Road.

Message boards indicating a traffic shift are in place for 7 days prior to the opening, which is scheduled for July 16. Download HAWK signal flyers in English and Spanish: www.tinyurl.com/BeaverRuinHAWK.

Due to increased steel prices along with adjustments and upgrades to the signal, the complete cost of the project rose from an estimated $130,000 to $205,000. A GDOT grant covered $91,000, Gwinnett DOT is funding $55,000, and the Gateway 85 CID is paying the remaining $59,000.
