The Gateway85 Community Improvement District is currently working with Gwinnett DOT to design a mid-block crossing on Tech Drive between Indian Trail Road and Singleton Road. The midblock crossing, identified as a potential project through the Livable Centers Initiative 10-year update, is located between two Gwinnett Transit stops on Tech Drive, which serve as transfer points for riders. The mid-block crossing will increase safety for transit users by creating a protected place to cross.

In addition, as part of the project, Gateway85 and Gwinnett are planning to relocate the bus stops to a location on Tech Drive which will further improve safety by increasing visibility for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.

This project is being funded by Gateway85 and the CID is responsible for managing all phases of the project.
