Aug 22, 2013Atlanta Public Schools is one of the first school systems in the nation to participate in a Microsoft Corp. program that allows students to search the Web through Bing.com without advertisements.
The Bing for Schools pilot program aims to avoid the commercialization of student web searches and adds filters to block adult content.
Aleigha Henderson-Rosser, Atlanta Public Schools’ director of instructional technology, says the education-based search engine will provide safe search options without the distraction of ads.
