Fayette County is encouraging its residents to participate in a short survey on behalf of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

The issue was discussed at the Board of Commissioners meeting on Jan. 24. The 17-question survey asks for opinions related to state resources for everyone, such as hotlines and education programs, as well as the specific needs of low-income individuals with mental health issues or addictive diseases. Replies are anonymous and will be used to help identify areas of greatest need and allocate resources accordingly.

The English survey is at www.surveymonkey.com/r/GeorgiaNeeds and the Spanish version is at www.surveymonkey.com/r/spGeorgiaNeeds. Paper copies are at the county office at 140 Stonewall Ave. West in Fayetteville.
