Mental health planning board has vacancy

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Region Six Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases Regional Planning Board. The three-member volunteer group meets every other month in Thomaston to help the regional office prepare annual plans for community services in central-western Georgia. The unexpired term being filled runs from July 1 until June 30, 2016. Applications, available from Floyd Jones at fjones@fayettecountyga.gov or 770-305-5102, are due by May 29.
