In 1997, a 10-year-old girl named Crystal Sykes died  when the bike she was riding fell into a hole in a dirt road near her southwest Atlanta home.

A permanent memorial for Crystal will be unveiled at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Atlanta City Councilman Ceasar Mitchell and the PATH Foundation teamed up recently to get a portion of Cahaba Drive paved and another section transformed into a walking trail. The PATH walking trail will be dedicated in Crystal's memory.

The ceremony will take place at Cahaba Drive and Sandtown Road.
