Mega Millions jackpot soars to $291 million

The jackpot for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing jumped to a whopping $291 million after no player matched all six numbers in Tuesday night’s drawing.

Those numbers were 7, 12, 41, 44 and 59, and the Mega Ball was 3.

If a single player matches all six numbers Friday and chooses the cash option, he or she would receive a single payout of $157 million before taxes.

The jackpot for Wednesday night’s Powerball multi-state lottery is $81 million.

Mega Millions and Powerball drawings can be seen on Channel 2 just before the Action News Nightbeat at 11 p.m.
