Motorists are advised to avoid Medlock Bridge Road (Ga. 141) in Johns Creek during the overnight hours this weekend as paving crews implement “rolling” single lane closures.

Weather permitting, the milling, inlay and resurfacing work will begin at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and continue through 5 a.m. the following morning as crews pave turn lanes and crossovers at various locations, the Georgia Department of Transportation said.

“As crews complete work in one location, the lane closures will ‘roll’ with the crews to the next work location,” GDOT said. “Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes to their destinations and/or allow extra travel time for traffic delays. Roadway signs and message boards along the road will alert drivers of the closures in advance.”

The work is part of a resurfacing of about 5.5 miles of Medlock Bridge in North Fulton County, from the Gwinnett to Forsyth county lines. The project is scheduled to be completed in late February. Information: https://bit.ly/2ZlQvlq
