Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners recently approved an annual contract ending Dec. 16, 2020 for the purchase of meat, cheese, fish and poultry. The multi-department contract totaling $1,670,000 represents a 2.3 percent decrease over the previous year’s contract.

The agreement includes supplying these foods to the Departments of Community Services, Corrections, and Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office for meal preparation for inmates, detainees, employees and senior citizens. Performance Foodservice, S&S Institutional Foods dba Samples Foods, and Sutherlands Foodservice, Inc. were the low bidders approved for the contract.
