McDonough proclaims ‘Madea’ Day

McDonough will pay tribute to movie maker Tyler Perry’s latest “Madea” movie by proclaiming Friday “A Madea Christmas Day in McDonough.” Many scenes from Perry’s newest movie “A Madea Christmas”, which opens Friday, were shot in McDonough, including the Henry County town’s Historic Downtown, which served as a backdrop in the movie. McDonough mayor Billy Copeland even makes an appearance in the movie.
