A fast-food worker in Hall County was fired for refusing to serve law enforcement officers, according to a media report.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the McDonald’s at Jesse Jewell and Limestone parkways terminated an employee after the worker “refused service to uniformed law enforcement officers on this date,” the Gainesville Times reported Monday.

“We strive to provide every customer with the best service during every visit,” Bob Swoszowski, the owner/operator of the McDonald’s in question, said in a statement. “When that does not happen, we address it quickly and provide the necessary tools and training to ensure our high standards of customer service are being met.”

Hall County sheriff’s spokesman Stephen Wilbanks said he doesn’t know why the worker refused to serve the officers.
