The qualifying process is complete for races to fill three Locust Grove City Council seats as well as the mayoral race in the November election.

Locust Grove is the only city in Henry County with a race for mayor in 2019, and incumbent Robert Price was the only qualifier in his race so he will be unopposed. Two incumbents council members qualified to run again: Carlos Greer and Otis Hammock. The third incumbent, Vernon Ashe, did not qualify. Challengers for the three open council seats include Michael Reid Brackett, Jr. as well as Rod Shearouse and Rudy Breedlove

The top three out of the five candidates will be the winners, since all council seats are at-large.
