Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has appointed Thomas Weyandt Jr. as the Interim General Manager of Renew Atlanta, a position responsible for the Renew Bond and TSPLOST – an infrastructure improvement program for the City of Atlanta, according to a press release. Renew Atlanta, a $250 million program is the first major investment in Atlanta’s aboveground infrastructure in more than a decade.

Weyandt, a former Deputy Chief Operating Officer for the city of Atlanta, has more than 40 years of experience in economic development, policy research and regional planning industries.

Weyandt began leading the Renew Atlanta team Monday, May 14.
