The search continues for the culprit in a drive-by shooting that sent a pregnant girl and another teen to the hospital early Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred at the Oakland City MARTA station in southwest Atlanta just after midnight. MARTA police have a lead on the suspect and are asking any witnesses to call 404-848-4911, said transit agency spokeswoman Alisa T. Jackson

A 15-year-old girl, eight months pregnant, was shot in the chest. She gave birth after being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital and her baby is in good condition, Jackson said. Since the incident, the mother’s condition has been upgraded from critical to serious.

A 15-year-old boy who was with the pregnant girl at the time was shot in the leg but is expected to make a full recovery. The victims’ names are being withheld because they are minors.
