If you are taking MARTA to the Chick-fil-a Bowl parade or the Peach Drop at Underground on Dec. 31, here's an update on MARTA bus and rail schedules for New Year's Eve:

  • On New Year's Eve, rail service will run on a weekday schedule with extra service on all lines as needed to get customers to major events. The last trains will depart Five Points Station at 2 a.m. The Red Line train will not turn back at Lindbergh Center Station at all – running continuously from North Springs down to Airport and back until service ends. Buses will run on a normal Saturday schedule, with the exception that Routes 24, 143 and 148 will operate on a weekday schedule (normally they do not operate on the weekends).
  • Rail and bus will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on New Year's Day.
