Brookhaven residents will have a chance Wednesday to ask questions about MARTA's upcoming project in the city.

MARTA will host a community meeting to provide an overview of the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe Station transit-oriented development project. The 15-acre project includes plans for an active public park and plaza that would connect Peachtree Road and Apple Valley Way through the station, according to information on MARTA's website.

A statement on the website also explains that MARTA recognizes "the potential transportation challenges posed by future development in this community and [is] committed to addressing concerns."

Those who attend the meeting can provide feedback and ask questions about the project. This is the final public meeting before MARTA will submit the rezoning application to the city of Brookhaven. More public meetings will follow as part of the rezoning process.

The meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lupton Hall in Oglethorpe University, located at 4484 Peachtree Road.
