MARTA back to normal after train delays

May 5, 2012

MARTA riders experienced delays Saturday due to a mechanical problem that required the system to bring a new train into service, MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris said.

The mechanical issue caused a train’s doors to fail to operate properly, the spokesman said. Ongoing maintenance on the system also may have worsened the delays.

“Right now, we’re pretty much back to normal,” Harris said on Saturday afternoon.
