A Marietta truck driver won big after playing the lottery three times in one day.
William Cheeks, 50, claimed $1 million at the Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta on Friday. He won playing the instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular, according to a Georgia Lottery news release sent Monday.
The $1 million prize was the last ticket Cheeks purchased during a winning streak, which included a $1,500 Cash 3 Midday prize and a $500 Jumbo Bucks Classic prize. The Racetrac gas station at 749 S. Marietta Parkway in Marietta sold the winning ticket, according to the release.
Cheeks, a father of three, told the Georgia Lottery he is going to buy a new house with the winnings.
