Marietta Power & Water customers will have one less thing to worry about amid the public health crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The utility said it will suspend service disconnections for nonpayment between March 18 and April 6. The city said it understands “the burden many of our customers are facing.”

As April 6 approaches, Marietta will re-evaluate the situation and determine whether it should extend the reprieve.

While Marietta Power & Water is open for business, residents are asked to use its drive-through window, its website or call 770-794-5150 to reduce the potential of exposure to employees as well as customers.
