Marietta Power and Water customers will have another month of relief from service disconnections due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The utility will extend its temporary policy of halting suspensions until May 11 “due to the uncertainty created by the public health crisis,” the city said Tuesday.

Marietta's original suspension had a deadline of April 6.

“We understand the burden many of our customers are facing,” the city said.

While Marietta Power & Water is open for business, residents are asked to use its drive-through window, its website or call 770-794-5150 to reduce the potential of exposure to employees as well as customers.
