Marietta quits collecting glass for recycling

Marietta no longer will recycle glass.

The city’s only bidder, West Rock, cannot find a marketer for the glass.

Also, the closest recycling company to Marietta is on Fulton Industrial Boulevard but also does not recycle glass.

Marietta City Council members were told another problem is the glass is mixed with other recyclables, making it difficult to separate.
