Marietta police want to speak to a man accused of pointing a shotgun at an maintenance shop employee last month during a dispute over service pricing.
The alleged gun-toting male remains at large following the Jan. 15 incident at Jiffy Lube at 2550 Delk Road. According to a Marietta police incident report, a woman called the business to express dissatisfaction over the amount of money Jiffy Lube charged for the work she had done on her Mitsubishi passenger vehicle.
Employees told police that the woman, identified by police as 24-year-old Crescent Love Rush, previously agreed to the charges she would have to pay, and that her boyfriend would handle those arrangements.
However, the woman “became verbally abusive over the phone” and paid a visit to the store later in the day to continue her dispute, the report alleges. She eventually left, but returned with a man accompanying her to the business.
The male, who was described as a black male in his mid-to-late 20s wearing red jogging pants, emerged from the car with a shotgun and aimed the firearm at one of the workers, the employees told police.
While aiming the shotgun, Rush allegedly yelled, “shoot them” multiple times from the vehicle, the report notes. The male retreated to the vehicle, and the pair left the business.
Cobb County jail records show Rush, of Marietta, was arrested and booked into its facility on Feb. 10 on one count of aggravated assault. Those records show Rush was released two days later on a $11,220 bond.
Marietta police spokesperson Chuck McPhilamy said investigators need the public to help identify the male subject so they can bring him in for questioning.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Marietta police detective Mike Selleck at 770-794-5372 or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
