The Marietta Police Department issued citations to three businesses for selling alcohol to minors on Nov. 20.

The teens were working as undercover agents for the police during a compliance check of 18 businesses that day.

The teen buyers did not provide false ID or misrepresent their age, according to Marietta Public Information Officer Brittany Wallace.

Each of the business owners have to pay $500, and their citations will be sent to the Marietta City Council for possible further action.

Those businesses include Fairground Food Mart, 619 N. Fairground St., Two Monkey’s Tavern, 688 Whitlock Ave. and 3 Amigos Mexican Bar and Grill, 1000 Whitlock Ave.
