A 20-year-old Marietta man was struck and killed early Friday morning while walking along North Marietta Parkway in Marietta.

The pedestrian was struck from behind by a hit-and-run driver on the parkway between Wallace Road and I-75, according to Marietta police. He was taken by ambulance to Wellstar Kennestone where he was pronounced dead. Marietta police have identified the man, but aren’t releasing his name until they have notified his family.

Police are looking for a four-door Kia Spectra, either a hatchback or coupe, with damage on the front passenger side. The car is believed to be around a 2007 to 2009 model. Anyone with information about the case, should call Officer Geoff Culpepper at 770 794-5357.
