A Marietta man was killed and four others suffered injuries late Saturday night when his 1999 Honda Accord drifted out of its lane into the path of an oncoming vehicle on Powder Springs Road, Cobb County police said.

Jordan Irby, the 21-year-old driver of the Honda Accord, died at the scene of the collision from his injuries.

According to investigators, Irby was headed north on Powder Springs Road near Pamela Circle when he inexplicably entered the southbound lanes of the road and collided with a silver 2002 BMW X5.

Kandice Grace, 19, and Justin Grace, 20, both of Marietta, were passengers in the Accord and transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital after the crash. Kandice Grace was being treated for serious injuries while Justin Grace suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the BMW, Jesus Estrada-Hernandez of Marietta, and his juvenile passenger were also taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
