The Marietta City Council this week will take first steps to start a trolley on wheels that will run from the city’s aviation museum off South Cobb Drive to tourist sites on the Marietta Square and Kennesaw Mountain. The council will vote Wednesday to consider a study through the Marietta Visitors Bureau to look at a trolley system to increase tourism.

Mayor Steve Tumlin would like the trolley to connect to other attractions like Atlanta Braves games and the Southern Museum in Kennesaw. Funds would come largely from the county car rental tax.
