The Marietta City Council is expected to vote Oct. 14 on when to open the ice skating rink.

The city’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism Committee is recommending to include the item on the council’s consent agenda.

If approved, the ice skating rink would open on Nov. 20 in Glover Park by Marietta Square Branding Project Inc.

Set up would begin on or after Nov. 10 but not to interfere with the city’s Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 11.

The council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 205 Lawrence St.
