The city of Marietta will offer two ways for residents to provide feedback about a list of projects that, if approved, would be funded by sales tax dollars.
Marietta will host a Facebook town hall from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 to discuss its Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax project list. The video will be live-streamed on its Facebook page.
Facebook users will be able to see display boards, and ask Mayor Steve Tumlin and city and Cobb County staff members questions about the 2022 SPLOST.
The upcoming SPLOST referendum will considered by voters in November. If approved, the SPLOST program will begin collecting revenue on Jan. 1. 2022.
Marietta City Council members will also hold a public hearing following the town hall at 4 p.m. at City Hall. If you're unable to attend the meeting in person, the city will also have a live stream of Tuesday's meeting available on its website.
City Hall is at 205 Lawrence Street.
