Marietta to hold meeting on shoot out

The Marietta Police Department will hold a town hall meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday at Marietta High School, 1171 Whitlock Ave., to talk about a shoot out across from the school on Sunday afternoon.

No one was injured in the gun fight off Manning Road and Whitlock Avenue. Police officer David Baldwin said a passenger in a white SUV exchanged gunfire with two groups of people in a cul-de-sac on Westland Way. The SUV hit hit cars, mail boxes and a utility box on the street as it left the neighborhood. Cars and houses were also damaged by the gunfire.
