The Marietta City Council is expected to hire Ron Mull at a meeting in January as general manager of Marietta Power and Water.

At a power board meeting Monday, City Manager Bill Bruton recommended Mull over 32 other candidates who applied for the job. Mull has worked as the city utility’s customer care director for 17 years.

Bob Lewis, the previous general manager for 10 years, retired in February.
