Marietta will hold a hearing at 7 p.m. Wednesday regarding the designation of the Church Cherokee Streets Historic District in the Council Chambers, Marietta City Hall, 205 Lawrence St.

The district would include 124 properties, including the five-acre Ivy Grove at 473 Cherokee St., built in 1845 and owned by Marietta Councilman Philip Goldstein.

A description of the proposed district is on file in the Department of Development Services, Marietta City Hall.
