Marietta Board of Education sees one upset

Two of the three incumbents on the Marietta Board of Education won re-election Nov. 7.

Ward 4 incumbent Allison M. Gruehn won 82.31 percent or 614 votes to the 132 votes received by Camile B. Jones.

Ward 2 incumbent Jason Waters received 74.63 percent or 715 votes to the 243 votes for Arthur Vaughn.

However, in Ward 5, Angela Orange won 55.2 percent or 223 votes to the 181 votes of incumbent Jeriene Bonner-Grimes.

The results are awaiting certification by Cobb County.
