Marietta Board of Education elects officers

Marietta Board of Education members unanimously elected Chair Randy Weiner of Ward 3 and Vice Chair Jason Waters of Ward 2 as the chair and vice chair respectively on Jan. 9.
Weiner, a Marietta City Schools product, attended Hickory Hills Elementary, Marietta Junior High and Marietta High School – Class of 1985. Weiner has two children who both attend Marietta City Schools.
A Cobb County native, Waters earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
Waters and his wife Katie have three children with the oldest two in Marietta City Schools.
