The Marietta City Council agreed Wednesday to equip their police force with body cameras.

During Monday’s work session, Marietta Police Chief Dan Flynn did not mention a price but said he would “get the best deal we can find.”

After checking with several community residents and many police officers, Flynn said, “Nearly everyone feels it is in the city’s best interest.”

The cameras would “protect us against frivolous complaints,” he added.
