Marietta motorists will have access to electric vehicle charging stations at two locations by spring.

The Marietta City Council agreed Wednesday to install the stations at the Franklin Gateway Sports Complex under construction off I-75 and at the city parking lot near the Root House off the Marietta Square.

“We are still awaiting final quotes so I do not have the cost,” wrote Marietta Communications and Governmental Relations Manager Lindsey Wiles in a Thursday email to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Root House station “could be available as soon as two months” and the other “by late spring,” she said.
