Marietta adopts balanced budget with no tax or fee hikes

The Marietta City Council voted unanimously to approve a balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2018 which begins July 1 and ends June 30, 2018. The budget was passed with no service reductions and no tax or fee increases. The city’s millage rate stays the same at 2.788 mills.

Marietta’s overall FY 2018 budget is $322 million, including $56.69 million for the general fund budget. The general fund budget supports general government services, including police and fire services, parks and recreation programs, code enforcement, planning and development and streets and public works maintenance.
