Marietta’s will spend $394, 628 to add public restrooms at Victory, Lewis, Henry, Whitaker and Merritt parks.

A $25 million parks bond approved by Marietta voters in 2009 will pay for the concrete block structures. The city currently has permanent facilities at Tumlin Park at Hickory Hills and Laurel Park and at two sports complexes.

The new restrooms will have motion controlled lights and automatic locks that shut at 10 p.m., park closing time.
