Gwinnett County police are looking for two people in connection with several recent storage unit thefts.
On Feb. 21, a man and woman were found wandering around a storage facility on Buford Dam Road in Buford. They ran away after being confronted, but left behind a maroon car and a yellow bike. Evidence from the car helped police identify the female suspect as Katie Nicole Johnson, also known as Katie Pethel.
Police are trying to identify the man in the video. The man is described as in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10-inches tall, between 140 and 160 pounds with short hair and facial hair.
In multiple incidents, a computer, a DVR system, tools and two motorcycles were stolen. Johnson has active warrants for criminal trespass, burglary, entering an automobile, possessing a firearm and numerous drug charges.
Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts or the identity of the unknown man is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
