Train service has been restored, nearly an hour after a man in a wheelchair fell onto the tracks at the Edgewood/Candler Park MARTA station.

The man sustained non-life threatening injuries after falling around 3 p.m. Monday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

MARTA temporarily shut down all eastbound trains and began “single tracking” all westbound trains while officials tried to get the man back onto the platform. Just after 4 p.m., Channel 2 reported the man was removed from the tracks and MARTA service was back to normal. It was not immediately known how the man fell.
