A man was hit and killed while walking along a busy street in northeast Atlanta early Sunday morning, and the driver did not stop, police said.

Officers responding to the 1000 block of Lindbergh Drive about 3:45 a.m. found the 32-year-old man dead at the scene. According to Atlanta police, witnesses saw a white SUV or pick-up truck drive off after hitting him.

The incident is under investigation Monday, and police still are trying to track down the driver.
