A Decatur-area man turned himself in to police in connection with a shooting death last week.

Antwuan Pierre Crayton surrendered Tuesday, according to DeKalb County Police.

He turned himself over to police in connection with the shooting death April 4 of Curtis Mack III, 27, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Mack was shot multiple times while visiting friends on Selwyn Street in Decatur, the news station reported.

"They shot him once in the left side of the chest, stomach, hand, some other parts of the body," Mack's grandfather, also named Curtis, told Channel 2 Action News last week.

Family and friends said the shooting followed a disagreement between the victim and someone driving through the neighborhood.

Mack was the father of two -- an 8-year-old and a newborn.
