Atlanta homicide detectives were called to a shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Sunday morning.

A person was shot in northwest Atlanta at about 7:15 a.m. in the 3800 block of MLK, according to radio traffic.

Police said the man, who was not identified, was shot five times -- once in each leg, once in each arm and once in the side.

The victim, believed to be an adult male, was hospitalized and is in stable condition.

He has refused to cooperate with police and has not given any information regarding the shooting.
