Sandy Springs police have identified the man shot early Monday outside a Roswell Road piano bar as Rodriguez Price, 22, of Union City.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Tailfeathers Restaurant & Piano Bar in the Hammond Springs shopping center.

Price and the suspect got into an altercation inside the club, and the two “engaged in a fight until it was broken up,”

Sandy Springs police Capt. Steve Rose said.

“Later, outside the club, the two re-engaged in an altercation but were split up,” Rose said. “Price was walking to his car when the suspect fired several times, hitting Price three times with .40-caliber rounds.”

Rose said Price was taken to North Fulton Hospital in stable condition, and is expected to survive.

Rose described the suspect as a “heavy set” black male, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, who fled south on Roswell Road in a black sedan.
