Atlanta police are investigating a fatal, early Sunday shooting on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Homicide detectives were at the scene in the 2400 block of MLK, where a man is believed to have been shot in his truck while driving in southwest Atlanta.

"The vehicle must have still been in gear and ended up colliding with the building a short distance from where the shooting actually occurred," Detective Paul Guerrucci told Channel 2 Action News.

The victim, wo was not identified Sunday, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died.
