Man shot dead in yard on North Avenue
A man was shot dead Wednesday morning in the back yard of a home in the 1800 block of North Avenue in northwest Atlanta, according to Atlanta police.
Police told Channel 2 Action News that the shooting occurred around 7 a. m.
The name of the victim has not been released. Police have also not released details on the shooter. Investigators told Channel 2 that several narcotics and guns, including an assault rifle, were found inside the house.
Robbery is a likely motive, but has not been confirmed, according to police.
