Man shot at Buckhead restaurant

A man was shot in the buttocks at a restaurant in Buckhead on Tuesday night, Atlanta police said.

Officers arrived on the scene at Benihana in the 2100 block of Peachtree Road around 10:15 p.m.

The wounded man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, Atlanta police spokesman Officer John Chafee said. Two other people had minor lacerations.

The man was leaving the restaurant with a group of people when two suspects approached him, Chafee said. He was shot while trying to go back inside.

The suspects were last seen in a tan Dodge Charger fleeing the scene northbound on Peachtree Road, police said.

“At this time, no motive has been established, but it does appear that the victim was targeted by the suspects,” Chafee said.
