Police were investigating a shooting Monday morning in northwest Atlanta.

Just before 5 a.m., a man reported being shot in the buttocks and left thigh near the intersection of Verbena Street and Fairfield Place, according to police.

The man drove himself to Grady Memorial Hospital, police said.

His condition is unknown at this time.
