Gwinnett County police are searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank in Duluth.
A man wearing a hoodie walked into the bank on Old Norcross Road around 5 p.m. on Jan. 11. He asked a teller if he could open an account, Gwinnett County police said. Before the teller was able to help him, he left the bank, but soom came back with a business card in his mouth, according to police.
The man approached the teller again and handed her a note demanding a “large amount of cash,” police said. While the teller was getting the cash, the man tapped a metal object on the counter, leading the teller to believe he had a gun. No weapon was seen, according to police.
After the teller handed over the cash, the suspect fled on foot toward a Kroger. Witnesses did not see the man get into any vehicle.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Gwinnett County detectives at 770-513-5300 or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477. Crime Stoppers tips may be rewarded with up to $2,000 if they lead to an arrest or indictment.
