Gwinnett County police are searching for a man who robbed a Chase Bank in Duluth.

A man wearing a hoodie walked into the bank on Old Norcross Road around 5 p.m. on Jan. 11. He asked a teller if he could open an account, Gwinnett County police said. Before the teller was able to help him, he left the bank, but soom came back with a business card in his mouth, according to police.

The man approached the teller again and handed her a note demanding a “large amount of cash,” police said. While the teller was getting the cash, the man tapped a metal object on the counter, leading the teller to believe he had a gun. No weapon was seen, according to police.

After the teller handed over the cash, the suspect fled on foot toward a Kroger. Witnesses did not see the man get into any vehicle.
