Police are questioning two men who were inside a DeKalb County townhome where a man was shot and killed Monday.

“We believe one of these gentlemen will be the shooter,” DeKalb police Lt. Mark Lavigne said. “We’re trying to find out the circumstances surrounding it. All these individuals may know each other.”

One of the men was taking his girlfriend, who had been grazed by a bullet, away from the shooting scene, when the pair flagged down an ambulance parked outside an area Burger King about 3:30 a.m., Lavigne said.

The woman gave authorities the address of the townhome in the 3800 block of Parklane Drive, and officers later found the body of 32-year-old Curtis Turner.

The scene of the fatal shooting is across from the James R. Hallford Stadium, which is less than a mile from the Georgia State University Perimeter campus in Clarkston.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses. One of them was arrested on an outstanding warrant, but is not a suspect in the shooting, Channel 2 reported.

The woman was taken to the hospital with a minor head injury.
